Greenfield welcomes Matthew Gliddon to further strengthen the development side of the design team. Matthew started his engineering career in 2002 with an apprenticeship at a tool storage manufacturer, were Mathew successfully completed with distinction his BTEC level 3 Diploma then moved on to complete his HNC level 4 in mechanical engineering. During this time Matthew had valuable sheet metal production experience operating Amada turret punching and Salvagnini panel bending machines.
This has given a good background understanding of what the limitations can be manufactured from sheet metal environment. Matthew then moved into the drawing office where he programmed components then produced working engineering drawing for production. Inspecting pre-production samples and recording the sample approval process.
This enhanced his engineering knowledge for the future in product design and working within a pressure high end sub-contract environment. Now at Greenfield and a key member working alongside the design team on new concepts and component development for many different market sectors.
Greenfield clearly see Matthew rising to the new design challenges our customers present the team on a daily basis.
