Greenfield’s latest initiative is to introduce final year school students to the long term benefits of a modern apprenticeship. It all started with an evening at Holsworthy Community College and was aimed at encouraging young students to consider engineering as a viable career option. Mitchal Cisneros one of Greenfields third year apprentices gave a presentation on the cutting edge manufacturing technology within the business, and on his own national apprenticeship to date. From the promising response of potential candidates for year 2014 intake Greenfield is rolling out the programme next year holding additional career evenings at both Bude & Torrington schools.
”We believe working closely with the local Schools and the changing attitude’s to work based apprenticeships will continually help us recruit the right calibre of young individuals”. Gary Burnard – Operations Director.
