The now yearly Greenfield lean award is given in recognition to the area within the business that has consistently performed to a high standard throughout the year.

This has been won by Tony Morey and the assembly team. The team across two shifts in this department have worked tirelessly to identify ways to improve the area. The Assembly and Dispatch processes have been updated continually throughout the year and the teams have come up with new solutions on part presentation to the assembly lines to further improve the working efficiency and reduce overall working footprint.

All the Manufacturing departments within the business have moved to a new level in their lean thinking and approach to every process within their respective areas. But the Assembly team have scooped the 2013 prize with their relentless drive towards multiple Kaizen (Japanese for “improvement”) events throughout the year.
