Greenfield representatives Steve Killner (Training Officer), Mitchal Cisneros (Design Engineer) and Billy Hinson (3rd Year Production Engineer Apprentice) have recently attended careers evenings hosted at Great Torrington School and Holsworthy Community College to talk to young aspiring Engineers and their parents about the 2015 apprentice scheme and career paths available at Greenfield. We are pleased to report that several students show a real passion and enthusiasm for Engineering, and many have their own welding equipment and tools and enjoy tinkering in their sheds at home, making and repairing items during their spare time.
This was a great opportunity for Greenfield to show off to local students the excellent career on offer as an attractive alternative to moving on to college and university. Any student interested in a career at Greenfield is encouraged to contact Steve Killner (steve@greenfieldengineering.co.uk / 01409 254400) for further information, to arrange a site visit or work experience.
”It was refreshing to talk to young enthusiastic students who have already gained some Engineering experience off their own backs. We hope to see them again at Greenfield where they can hone their skills, and we can train them to become great Engineers in the Sheet Metal Industry” Steve Killner Training Officer.
