To ensure consistent up to date focus on quality in one of our engineering disiplines of stoved finished products, it is important to monitor and record information to ensure powder coated parts have passed through the curing process at the correct temperature and to the required track line time.

To achieve this, Greenfield have replaced their old data monitor with a new Grant Instruments intergrated OQ610 profile data logger to map the temperature via highly accurate probes. This will feed back information for analysis through the software to obtain the % cure calculation to identify required adjustments to the stoving process to improve the quality of all powder coated products.

Combined with the existing controls in place this gives Greenfield complete recorded and documented tracability of the powder coating process.

“When I explain to customers about our internal quality control within powder coating, they don’t realise that simply just looking at the surface finish for a quality check is not good enough!” Mark Cornish Quality Engineer
