Today Greenfield have launched our largest apprenticeship programme to date, with a view to recruit and introduce 8-10 new apprentices to a career in engineering. The successful candidates will join the business during the summer months and will start college in September. The scheme to introduce apprentices into the organisation was reintroduced six years ago which to date has shown great results. We now have a good steady stream of apprentices at various stages of training in place and settled within the business. The business feels that it is the right time to increase the intake this year. The Greenfield scheme is about building a strong team of engineers that will be able to deliver the business needs to our customers; and to grow the best engineers with the correct skill sets in the sheet metal industry.

Greenfield provide an accredited apprenticeship programme with in-house student support and mentoring. The successful candidates will complete an advanced modern apprenticeship including a day release programme at college. This will initially be over two years starting with a BTEC qualification in mechanical engineering and NVQ Level 2 & 3, with the opportunity to go onto a second two year HNC qualification.
