Greenfield Engineering are proud to announce that on Sunday the 31st of July three Greenfield employees Kieran Jacques, Matthew Gliddon and Daniel Green took part in the 2016 Prudential Ride London cycling event. A total of 29,000 people took part in the closed road event, with the first wave of cyclist setting off at 5.30am!
The route started at the Queen Olympic Park in Stratford taking you through the centre of London then into the Surrey countryside towards Guilford. The route wasn’t just flat picturesque riding; it tackled the biggest hills in Surrey “Leith Hill” and the infamous “Box Hill”. After that demanding section of riding the route took you back towards the capital via Dorking through Wimbledon and Fulham, then along the Chelsea Embankment, past Trafalgar Square down to the finish line on The Mall at Buckingham Palace totalling 100 miles.
A big congratulations from all at Greenfield Engineering with Kieran finishing the route in a very impressive time of 4hrs 41mins, Daniel in 5hrs 32mins and Matthew in 6hrs 10mins.
Also all three have signed up for the Ride London 2017 ballot. Another 100 mile ride……they must be mad!
