Greenfield’s forklift truck driver team have completed further in-house training to ensure all staff using the new pedestrian stacker trucks are properly trained and certificated. The course covered factors affecting stability, narrow aisle manoeuvring in confined areas, multidirectional loading, safe stacking of loads at different levels, pre-use checks and de-stacking with laden and un-laden pallets . This will enable staff to assess the situations in advance reducing risks associated with accidents causing injury in the Warehouse environment. Greenfield’s approach is safe training and operation first which is aimed to make all operators properly understand their safety responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, PUWER 98 & LOLER 98 regulations.
