Luke Heard was one of three work experience students from Holsworthy Community College who spent the past week (9th – 13th July) at Greenfield Engineering undertaking their work placements. The week’s experience provided them all with an insight into the world of Sheet Metal Engineering, more importantly teaching them about what they can expect after school life.
The week also provided a valuable addition to their CV’s and hopefully will be the first of many Engineering experiences/qualifications to decorate this very important document. The work placements also gave all the students an exciting opportunity to gain a little experience and a taster into the different aspects of a career in the Sheet Metal Engineering industry.
Colin Hamilton (Training Coordinator) added “All students showed a maturity beyond their years and the team definitely were impressed with their appetite to learn new tasks along with their general work ethic”. Sharing this experience with Luke were both Harry Fackrell and Jack Goodman, very well done to all three students.
