Greenfield are pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Martin as their new Maintenance Engineer. This is another good example of the business providing opportunities for its existing staff to progress and develop into more technical roles within the company. Matt, who has been with the company for nine years and held a number of senior operational roles will work alongside the company’s existing engineering team to significantly improve the engineering support across the business.

Matt has been supporting the factory with reactive maintenance for some time, and put his name forward and applied when the position became available. One of the objectives will be to develop and grow the preventative maintenance programme, increasing machine up time and reliability. Building on a strong engineering support team to be able to identify and implement improvements, which has been key since the creation of the team ten years ago.

“Matt has proven his commitment in delivering on all his previous production based positions & objectives within the business, so I’m delighted that he will be joining the engineering support team as our maintenance engineer, at a time when we are poised for significant growth and machine reliability will be paramount. I look forward to seeing Matt bring his enthusiasm and company commitment to the role expanding the service and maintenance portfolio, including the complex maintenance support of critical machines. Additional electrical qualifications Matt needs to further develop into the role will be gained by an external training programme” – Simon Walker Operations Director.
