As Greenfield gets ready to welcome this year’s group of budding apprentices. They will soon begin their fascinating sheet metal engineering journey. Strong engineering skills play a pivotal role across the business. The apprenticeship intake is a vital on-going part of Greenfield introducing new young talent into the workforce. This fundamentally forms the core of our leading training programme geared up to delivering high quality engineers with industry recognised qualifications.

All our Apprenticeships are now delivered using standards which have replaced the Engineering Apprenticeship Frameworks, and the awarding body for the scheme is EAL (Excellence, Achievement & Learning) and there are two training pathways that the apprentices can follow the Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2) or the Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) potentially leading on to a Higher National Certificate (Level 4)

Simon Walker Operations Director said; “Greenfield has a great reputation in the local community as an employer in the recruitment of young apprentices. As these students and many more are now deciding to opt for the apprenticeship route which gives them invaluable on the job experience and high level training while studying for a formal qualification at college and getting paid at the same time.”
