On Sunday the 23/08/20 Adam Watkins, Matt Gliddon, Lee Harris, Mitch Cisneros and Daniel Green visited Haldon Forest in Exeter to do the Go Ape Tree Top Challenge in the morning and after hit the mountain bike trails after lunch.
The Go Ape Tree Top Challenge was a tricky circuit of high rope crossings, precarious log balance’s, Tarzan swing into cargo nets and over 200m long zip wires across the valley over the tree tops. With the highest platform 14m off the ground it wasn’t for the faint hearted!
There are Haldon bike trails that are available for all abilities; from easy Blue trails, to the more difficult Red Ridge trail and the Extreme Orange trails through dense woodland. The lads really enjoyed the 14 miles of trail riding they did, which explored most of Haldons forest area on its technical fast flowing trails with tight corners, jumps and obstacles.
Design Engineer Lead Adam Watkins said “Its great to get out with some of my work colleges and socialise outside of work to strengthen our working relationships. The Go Ape Tree Top Challenge was great fun coupled with the biking in the afternoon, it was a great day out”.
