For a small market town Holsworthy is fairly familiar with hosting various events. With 2021 marking a return to some kind of normality on mass gatherings a new event has now joined the calendar with the Holsworthy industrial estate open day marking its place on the 18th September.

At very short notice all involved at Greenfield engineering and assisting local businesses curated an extremely impressive display this year of the business and its accomplishments. Generously filled goodie bags, prize draws, product and machine demonstrations along with general decoration really showed the business off to the public with all visitors suitably impressed and leaving with a smile on their face. Many visitors had no idea of the work that everyone does here and a small number didn’t know the business was here at all. In addition, it was great to hear from other contributors of their visitors complimenting Greenfield engineering. I’d like to thank all of those who helped in the build-up and who stopped on at work on Friday to set up the event. Great thanks also goes to Kerris Pass, Mitchal Cisneros, Richard Green, Dale Dinner and Ben Harris for engaging with all the visitors so pleasantly and without falter on the day.

We will be back again next year for a bigger and better display but in the meantime everyone should hold their head high. The daily grind can sometimes seem a little average through familiar eyes but to fresh eyes the work you do every day is both impressive and inspiring. I’d hope that everyone who contributed, assisted, visited or viewed understands the value and impact of the work that they do day in day out.
