I’ve always been very passionate about engineering since a young age. Going straight into sheetmetal from 16yrs old. Starting Greenfield with Michelle in 1989 was a challenge putting on a shirt and tie at 6 o’clock in the morning to head out for customer meetings. Then returning to the factory later after winning new business to put on my workwear to start to manufacture. With the rapid growth we soon realised that we needed to create our future team. So embarked on building a strong group of young individuals that would eventually have the same driving passion for sheetmetal as we did. Now fast forward 35 years and I look proudly at the team we have built from our apprenticeship programme. From the managing director to many of the senior management team. Both Daniel and Richard are both passionate about the business which makes me extremely proud. Most of the team have been with the business from leaving school and have incredible drive to succeed. As it comes full circle and I come to the end of my working career in sheetmetal manufacturing. I am fortunate to now be a small part of this fantastic dynamic team that has helped Greenfield into the business it is today.
