I started in a typing pool at 16 at Johnson Matthey but within 12 months realised I didn’t want to be a secretary!
I moved into the accounts department with the same company and started to study. Over the following years I achieved a BTec in Business Studies and then AAT Level 4 in accountancy. I remained there for 32 years until they dissolved the company. I then worked in a Group Finance Analyst role for a telecommunications recycler using improvement techniques to advance and develop the financial systems.
After deciding to relocate to Devon in 2017, I joined Greenfield Engineering as a payroll and accounts clerk. During my time at the company, I have updated/improved various duties including creating a Personnel Planner online for the managers, which provides more up to date information.”
