Greenfield recently hosted its 6th annual summer BBQ, graced with clear skies and sunshine that set the stage for a delightful afternoon. The event was a token of appreciation for our hardworking team, allowing everyone to finish early and unwind amidst the seasonal festivities. This year, we celebrated not only the onset of summer but also the team’s resilience in adapting to operational changes that pave the way for exciting opportunities ahead.
The BBQ featured a delectable spread of grilled food from Blagdon Wharf blagdonwharf.co.uk, accompanied by a variety of beverages ranging from non-alcoholic options to soft drinks. The atmosphere was vibrant and relaxed, with entertainment provided by close-up magician Dan Brazier danbrazier.com, who dazzled with his impressive illusions. To add to the excitement, a surf simulator challenged everyone’s surfing skills, creating a memorable experience for all.
The event kicked off with games and networking opportunities, bringing together colleagues from different shifts, departments, and new recruits who have recently joined our ranks, highlighting our progress over the past year.
In a heartfelt gesture, we held a staff raffle to support the North Devon Hospice in memory of Stephanie Mayall, beloved wife of our colleague Tony Mayall, who recently passed away. Through the generosity of our team, we raised £1500 for this important local charity, demonstrating our commitment to community support.
Company Director Richard Green commented -“It’s always a highly anticipated event where our team comes together to relax and socialize in a laid-back setting. It’s also our way of thanking our staff for their dedication and hard work. Overall, it was a fantastic afternoon filled with great food and entertainment, I’m pleased the team had a great time.”
