Greenfield has expanded its automated bending capabilities with the addition of the Amada ABS-R folding cell, further strengthening its advanced manufacturing portfolio with its second robotic bending cell. This investment provides customers with additional options for producing a wide range of larger folded components through an unmanned, automated bending cycle, while maintaining high-capacity production.
The ABS-R is a scalable bending cell based on the combination of the Amada HFE press brake and ABS-R robot solution. Our system is a 3-metre, 100-tonne machine, paired with a high-capacity robot payload to support demanding production requirements. The cell is designed with pallet loading in mind, the cell can be configured with up to six stacks at 500 mm height. It is equipped with magnets, air blow and brushes for effective sheet separation. A wide unloading area enables the placement of up to six Euro pallets, supporting efficient downstream handling.
The HFE ABS-R cell has been developed to deliver long production runs with high accuracy and ease of use. Combined with fast cycle times, the system is engineered to boost productivity while maintaining consistent, high-quality output.
