World-first AMADA combination machine investment

By 6 November 2026No Comments

Greenfield Engineering has announced its investment in an AMADA ACIES 2512 TAJ with ASR 3015 NTK twin-tower automation—the first system of this specification in the world.

The investment marks a further step in the company’s development of its precision sheet metal manufacturing capabilities, bringing together punch and fibre laser processing with automated material storage, loading, unloading and component removal.

AMADA’s ACIES platform combines punching and laser cutting within a single machine, providing flexibility for components that require both processes. Automatic tool changing reduces manual intervention between jobs, while the machine’s brush-covered lower turret and retractable dies help protect sensitive material surfaces during processing.

The ASR 3015 NTK adds automated material handling and parts removal to the production cell. The twin-tower configuration is intended to support longer production schedules, reduce manual handling and improve the flow of material and finished components through manufacturing.

For Greenfield’s customers, the investment is intended to deliver greater production flexibility, consistent component quality and additional capacity to support varied order requirements.

Daniel Green, Director of Greenfield Engineering, said:

“This investment represents a significant step forward in our manufacturing capability. Being the first company in the world to invest in this particular specification reflects our commitment to developing the business and strengthening the service we provide to our customers. Combining the ACIES with twin-tower automation will help us reduce manual handling, improve production flow and make greater use of available machine time. It also gives our skilled team the technology to manage increasingly complex work while maintaining the quality and consistency our customers expect.”

The investment forms part of Greenfield Engineering’s continued focus on advanced manufacturing, bringing together skilled people and automation to support customers’ long-term requirements.
