Greenfield Engineering operates at the forefront of sheet metal contract manufacturing, delivering high-quality components supported by extensive in-house capabilities, including punching, laser profiling, bending, fabrication, powder coating, and integrated assembly. Its two modern facilities provide flexibility, resilience, and scalable manufacturing capacity. Sustainability and environmental responsibility underpin all strategic and operational decisions, alongside continuous investment in process technology, software, and the working environment.

Sustained market demand over the past twenty-four months has driven further investment, including the expansion of production at the Waldon Way site with the addition of an automated Amada EMZ-3510 MKII servo-electric turret punch, with AS III MP tower store and PRIII part picker. This 30-ton machine features a 45-station Z-turret with auto-indexing, automated storage and unloading, and the AMNC 4ie controller integrated with Amada’s V-Factory software, enabling high levels of unattended, lights-out production. The new cell strengthens punching capacity at Greenfield’s second manufacturing site and enhances responsiveness to changing customer demand.

Since its inception, Greenfield has prioritized close collaboration with customers, providing design support through to full manufacture. The business supplies high-volume, precision sheet metal components across sectors including office furniture, commercial lighting, refrigeration, electronic enclosures, retail, industrial storage, and telecommunications. Ongoing reinvestment has resulted in one of the most advanced sheet metal manufacturing setups in the UK, comprising six automated Amada EMZ punching cells, two Amada fibre lasers, multiple automated and robotic press brakes, and fully integrated software systems supported by a central MRP platform. The latest EMZ-3510 MKII further reinforces inter-site capability, offering enhanced automation, reduced material marking, increased sheet storage, and extended lights-out operation, while reducing reliance on direct manual labour.
