Greenfield Engineering (SM) Ltd is pleased to announce the installation of the advanced AMADA EML2515-AJe PDC punch/laser combination machine, integrated with the RMP 3015-NTK automated material handling system, further strengthening the company’s high-performance sheet metal manufacturing capability.
The EML2515-AJe PDC combines high-speed servo-electric punching technology with fibre laser processing within a single fully integrated manufacturing platform. Designed to deliver exceptional flexibility, accuracy, and production efficiency, the system enables multiple manufacturing operations to be completed in one automated cycle, significantly reducing handling time and improving process flow. Equipped with a 3kW fibre laser source and advanced servo-electric punching technology, the EML2515-AJe offers high-speed processing across a wide range of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, galvanized, and pre-coated sheet materials. The combination platform allows punching, forming, tapping, laser profiling, marking, and complex contour processing to be completed without secondary OVS operations, supporting improved consistency and reduced lead times.
The machine incorporates advanced process integration technology, allowing intricate punched features and laser-cut profiles to be produced simultaneously with high positional accuracy and repeatability. Intelligent sheet repositioning and automated tool management further enhance productivity while minimizing setup intervention and material handling. Integrated alongside the machine, the RMP 3015-NTK automation system delivers fully automated sheet loading, unloading, and material transfer functionality, supporting extended unmanned production and lights-out manufacturing capability. The automated system improves production flow efficiency while reducing operator handling requirements and maximizing machine utilization throughout longer production runs.
The installation forms part of Greenfield Engineering’s continued investment strategy focused on automation, digital manufacturing, and scalable production technologies designed to support increasingly complex customer requirements and higher production volumes.
Director Daniel Green, commented:
“The addition of the EML2515-AJe combination machine significantly enhances our manufacturing flexibility and processing capability. The integration of fibre laser cutting, punching, forming, and automated material handling within a single platform allows us to increase efficiency, improve throughput, and maintain the high levels of accuracy and consistency our customers expect.”
This latest investment further reinforces Greenfield Engineering’s commitment to advanced manufacturing technologies, continuous improvement, and highly automated production solutions capable of supporting both high-volume and complex precision sheet metal manufacturing requirements.
